Preparing to start schools after Diwali is also a dilemma regarding student safety
Administrators and local officials will hold a meeting soon to discuss
The decision will be taken after discussion on matters including number of students, school hours

After Diwali, school administrators have shown readiness to start Std. 10 and 12 schools, but the issue is complicated by the responsibility of the children coming to school. A meeting of Ahmedabad’s governing bodies and officials will be held soon to start schools. In which the administrators will present their confusion

In the meeting with the Minister of Education, all the district level has sought the views of the administrators in the meeting between the local officials and the administrators. There will be discussions about when school can be started, how many students can be with, how much time to keep, how to arrange recess, how many teachers to call, etc. But even before this meeting between administrators there was confusion over the responsibility for the safety of children. According to administrators, parents will send their children to school with their consent, but who will be responsible if a child is coronary? Because the school will enforce all the rules like sanitizer, social distance etc. However, if the child suffers from coronary heart disease, there may be friction between parents and administrators. In addition, if a student gets infected on the way home from school, the responsibility can be shifted to the school and the administrators may get in trouble.

Currently only in favor of starting Std. 10-12 classes
According to the administrators, Std. 10 and 12 standards should be started at the initial stage. So that the students of the board get the proper benefit. At the same time, as schools have a sufficient number of classrooms as per the two standards, social distance can be implemented. But primary schools should not be opened at the present stage.

Teachers protest as school starts soon after Diwali
Teachers are protesting against the Diwali vacation days. According to teachers, teachers who have gone to their hometowns for Diwali will have to return immediately after Diwali. Teachers will not be able to use the days before Diwali and schools will start functioning immediately after Diwali. For the first time since Diwali, the school vacation is coming to an end. Before this, the vacation would start four or five days before Diwali and 15 to 17 days after Diwali. So that those who have gone home get the benefit. According to the teachers, in the areas where elections are held in Gujarat, the teachers will get very little leave.
